Mental Health Therapist
(Full-Time)

 

About Sol Stone Center

​

Sol Stone Center provides an evidence‑based, client‑centered, trauma‑informed treatment environment for individuals healing from eating disorders. Our multidisciplinary team is dedicated to delivering compassionate, comprehensive care that supports long‑term recovery. We are seeking a therapist who shares our commitment to clinical excellence and a deeply supportive therapeutic approach.

Position Summary

 

The Mental Health Therapist plays a key role in our PHP program, providing individual and group therapy, conducting assessments, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and supporting clients through structured, intensive treatment. This position is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about eating disorder treatment and thrives in a collaborative, mission‑driven environment.

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

• Provide individual psychotherapy to clients in the PHP level of care

• Facilitate group therapy, including CBT, DBT, and group psychotherapy

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and risk evaluations

• Participate in treatment team meetings to ensure coordinated, holistic care

• Support discharge planning and step‑down recommendations

• Provide crisis intervention as needed

• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation

• Participate in weekly supervision and ongoing professional development

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

 

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related mental health field

• Eligibility for New York State licensure (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT)

OR

​

Enrollment in a New York State graduate program where Sol Stone can serve as a field placement

​

• Experience working with eating disorders is preferred but not required

• Strong understanding of therapeutic modalities and evidence‑based interventions

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

• Compassionate, client‑centered, and trauma‑informed approach to care

Compensation

​

• $58,240.00 – $62,400.00 per year
